Collectible design collaborations to make you feel at home.
RAY x Gufram Cactus
Our mission at Ray is to bring art and design into the daily experience. That spirit led us to collaborate with Italian design house Gufram, who shares our belief in living with great design, and artist Francesco Vezzoli on Fiore di Cactus®, a special-edition coat rack created in honor of Ray Phoenix that reimagines Gufram’s iconic 1972 CACTUS®.
Vezzoli is known for reimagining pop-culture icons across film, embroidery, performance, and sculpture. With Fiore di Cactus®, he adorns the iconic CACTUS® with a single bloom, adding a note of playfulness and joy to a design classic. His philosophy of challenging the status quo aligns with Gufram’s Radical Design ethos and Ray’s approach toward real estate development, making him the perfect collaborator for this project.
Produced in a limited run of 30, each piece is cast from the original 1972 mold and hand-painted with Guflac®, a patented coating that looks like leather yet feels soft to the touch. One edition will live at Ray Phoenix, where residents will interact with this piece that’s both art and design every day.
RAY x In Common With
We believe the objects you live with should feel personal. For our collaboration with New York–based lighting studio In Common With, we commissioned artist Dylan Rose Rheingold to hand-paint seven one-of-a-kind fixtures – each one entirely unique.
Dylan translated symbols featured in her paintings like cherry blossoms, swans, and rabbits onto glass and brass. Each dreamlike piece holds its own narrative, blending folklore with memories from girlhood. It’s an art piece that will illuminate your daily life both literally and figuratively.
Proceeds from the sale of this collaboration benefit the Ali Forney Center, New York City’s largest non-profit serving LGBTQ+ youth experiencing homelessness.
